This is the blog of special education attorney James J. DeSantis, Esq., and his wife, speech language pathologist Mali DeSantis, MA-CCC-SLP.

James DeSantis is the managing attorney of The DeSantis Firm, a New York/New Jersey law firm that provides legal representation to children with special needs and their families in achieving appropriate educational support and programming. In addition, Mr. DeSantis has been designated by the State of New Jersey as a Law Guardian to represent minors in alleged cases of child abuse or neglect and in termination of parental rights proceedings.

Mali DeSantis is a certified speech language pathologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of speech and language deficits in children with autism, multiple disabilities, and behavioral disabilities.  Mrs. DeSantis is employed by a private special education school in New Jersey and is also the director of Therapeutic Services, LLC, which provides home-based speech and language therapy services to children.
